After doing extensive research, I studied manufacturing techniques, material properties, operational ergonomics, and user response to develop a deeper understanding of trash bins. I tasked myself with improving upon existing material use and manufacturing methodologies in a way that will not compromise operational ergonomics or user behavior. The result is a dynamic trash receptacle concept that takes into account all of the rigorous design constraints set forth in the competition.
